When I try ro send photos by email from LR5.5 I get an error message "This file does not have a programme associated with it etc How can I solve this

When I try to send photos form LR5.5 to email I am unable to open the photo in the mail.I receive an error message ''This file does not have a programme associated with it "etc.How can I resolve this/
