When I select edit then preference, the window is too large to be able to see the save button on the bottom to save my changes in preferences. How can I make the window smaller so I am able to save my changes?

When I select edit then preference, the window is too large to be able to see the save button on the bottom to save my changes in preferences.  How can I  make the window smaller so I am able to save my changes?
