What system do your computers run? DE Windows 8.1/64 - crash, DE Windows 8/64 works
What version of Adobe Reader? - install_reader11_de_mssd_aaa_aih.exe crashes in W 8.1, works in W8
install_reader10_de_mssd_aaa_aih.exe works in Windows 8.1/84 but need to disable automatic update
Does it crash randomly or when you do something specific? - running reader by clicking on icon or running reader by clicking on .pdf file - crashes immediately without any error message or popup - just vanishes.
When it crashes, what message EXACTLY do you get? - none whatsoever, neither at the event of crashing nor in any of the system event logs - search for "acrobat", only entries found are: installed update service
The problem exists for over 6 month since I tried upgrading from W8 to W8.1. I keep trying sporadically in W8.1 (from separate disk) but the crash bug is always present and it's NOT a question of server download glitch as mentioned on some other place, The installer downloads from a server and after install the crash happens. The program (Adobe Acrobat Reader 11) is unusable on my W8.1 system since January 2014
